Katie Holmes gives birth to baby girl
Actress Katie Holmes, who became engaged last June to actor Tom Cruise, has given birth to the couple's first child - a girl they have named Suri.
Cruise's publicist Paul Bloch says mother and child, who weighed in at 3.4 kilograms at birth, are "doing well".
The name Suri has it origins in Hebrew, meaning "princess", or in Persian, meaning "red rose".
